Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing coalescence. This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material (the weld pool) that cools to become a strong joint, with pressure sometimes used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce the weld. Arcadia Manufacturing welders have over 150 years combined experience in welding. Our experience includes locomotives, military vehicles, pipe welding, machine repair and maritime.
Advantages
- We can weld virtually any metal material, and any size
- Rapid prototype turnaround
- Weld engineering prepared in-house
- Weld fixtures produced internally
- Applicable to small as well as large batches
- Capable of holding complex weldments within .020 inch
Materials
Arcadia can weld many ferrous and nonferrous metals from 0.015” thick to 2” thick. Materials include aluminum, steel, armor, stainless steel, and structurals.
Specifications and Capabilities
At AMG we have over 25 welders currently on staff. We offer the flexibility to certify welding to project specific needs and requirements such as DOT certifications.
Our welders are capable of welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to AWS and ASME standards with the following weld processes:
- GMAW (Mig)
- GTAW (Tig)
- FCAW (Flux Core)
